Get Started!

From a young age, I knew working with animals - especially dogs - was more than just an interest; it was where I felt most at peace. Growing up surrounded by dogs and farm animals, I developed a deep appreciation for their individuality, loyalty, and the connection they offer when truly understood.

In 2021, I stepped into the dog world professionally at a dog daycare. That same year, I welcomed Tucker, my first personal dog who is a Cardigan Corgi. Little did I know he would change the direction of my life in the best way. Through our journey together, I learned firsthand how deeply genetics, socialization, and early exposure shape a dog’s behavior. Before I understood this, Tucker became reactive to both dogs and people - but he also became my greatest teacher.

Determined to give him a fulfilled, confident life, I immersed myself in education, earned my dog trainer certification, and began laying the foundation for my own training and boarding business. I wanted to provide services who truly had the dogs best interest at heart. Along the way, I discovered the true importance of relationship-based training, clear communication, and meeting dogs where they are.

By 2022, Tucker was no longer reactive, we moved to Ottawa where I began walking and pet sitting dogs on Rover. My passion only continued to grow and Tuckered Out Training was officially born. I grew to be in love with fostering rescue dogs consistently, helping them build confidence and trust in the world around them. Each dog has left a lasting impact on me, shaping how I train, support, and advocate for dogs and their people.

Today, I remain deeply committed to ongoing education, regularly attending workshops and courses with respected trainers who share my values. My programs are built on proven, ethical practices shaped by real-life experience, continued learning, and always prioritizing the dog’s well-being, clarity, and long-term success.

A message from Malasia

All 6 of my dogs have a special place in my heart, each with their own story. I strive to give them each a full-filling, healthy life, I take their mental and physical health very seriously. This transfers into the care I put into your dogs, my goal in life is to help dogs and their humans build a lasting trusting relationship while bringing each dogs full potential out and help them feel their best, just like I was able to for my own dogs. You and your dog deserve a life full of peace, connection and freedom and I can help you get there!
